“Olympus OM-D E-M10 Street Photography Diaries “ is a series which is dedicated to the streets of Mumbai, a growing metropolis that mixes old world charm with the hustle and bustle of a city that never sleeps. This is an attempt to capture its mystic, contrast and vibrant street life. This diary will cover aspects like shopping, food, people, culture and festivals.

Today’s post is about street shopping and my photography experience in Mumbai at the famous Colaba Causeway with the Olympus OM-D E-M10.

Important notes

1)Taking the crop factor into consideration, the 25mm focal length on a micro four thirds sensor gives a 50mm equivalent field of view on a 35mm full frame sensor.

2) There are highly reputable websites that provide an in depth technical review of lenses. This however, is a user experience based review of the Olympus 25mm f1.8 lens and hence the reader can expect more thoughts on what makes this my go to walk around lens rather than technical details and analysis.

3) All images posted in this post are shot as JPEGs and then transferred via WiFi to my phone and then post processed minimally in Snapseed or occasionally in VSCO for Android. imageOLYMPUS IMAGING CORP. E-M10 (60mm, f/2.8, 1/25 sec, ISO200)

Can the KISS principle work in photography?

In my opinion YES .

Infact I make sure that I apply the KISS principle most of the time in my photography. This particular set of portraits were shot with the same KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID philosophy in mind.2016-01-28-07.22.15-1-01-01.jpeg.jpeg

In April 2015 I bought the Olympus OM-D E-M10 which came with the Olympus 14-42ez pancake zoom as a kit lens. I was absolutely amazed when i saw the size of the lens. It is small, portable and decently built lens and when mounted makes the Olympus OM-D EM10  a ridiculously small package to carry around.
