My Favourite Pictures From 2016

Happy new year folks.Hope 2016 was absolutely stunning for you and 2017 has started with a bang.
In 2015 I exclusively used only the Olympus OM-D EM10 with sigma 60mm f2.8 and Olympus 25mm f1.8 and Olympus14&42 f3.5-5.6 ez lenses and my favourite pics of 2015 can be seen here in this post.
In 2016 thanks to Olympus India I had a opportunity to use Olympus Pen F, Olympus OM-D EM 5 mark ii, Olympus OM-D EM10 and lenses like Olympus 75mm F1.8, Olympus 25mm f1.8, Olympus 45mm f1.8 and Sigma 60mm f2.8.

After using the above mentioned cameras and lenses and clicking many pictures including some professional shoots also, I have in this post selected pictures which are some of  my favourites I shot in 2016.

Important notes

1) Pictures posted below were clicked with the Olympus OM-D E-M10, Olympus OMD E-M 5 mark ii and Olympus Pen F.

2) Lenses used were Olympus 75mm F1.8, Olympus 25mm f1.8, Olympus 45mm f1.8 and Sigma 60mm f2.8.

3) All images seen in the post were shot as JPEGS and then transferred via WIFI to my phone and minimally edited in Snapseed or VSCO for Android.

Thanks and enjoy the pictures.

    Great stuff, Rav.
One question – since you shoot jpegs, how do you set white balance in different lighting situations?

Great shots Rav just discovered your blog. I just picked up the Olympus m5 ii as I have dslr but wanted something more durable and thanks to you I can see some very sharp portraits and mouth watering food shots and awesome capability of olympus

I am trying to focus on food/ portraits and very new. My kit came w 12-50 and I got the 45 1.8 would you say the 45/75 overlaps eachother? I know your other post had some great contrast for the 25 1.7. If you can have 3 lenses or even two which order would you recommend?

Thanks so much hope to see more!

Hi and thanks for your kind words. The 45mm doesn’t overlap with the 75mm lens.
75mm is Portrait len, so is the 45mm but with 45mm you can shoot some other stuff like food also.
Given a choice I will keep the 25mm and 45mm with me always.
